Democrat Danica Roem made history Tuesday with her win for Virginia’s 13th District House of Delegates seat. She will be the 1st out transgender member of the House of Delegates and the 1st out transgender person to win and serve in a state legislature. Roem defeated long-serving GOP incumbent Bob Marshall, who refused to debate Roem during the campaign.
